What is the difference between a First Piano and a Second Piano?
Buying a piano is a great choice for your child and for bringing music into your home!
- First Piano: This is usually a cheaper keyboard. It’s good for beginners and will last for many
years. If your child enjoys playing and gets good at it, you can buy a better piano later. - Second Piano: This is a nicer piano that you can get after a few years when your child plays
songs well. You can pick one from our suggestions or visit a piano shop to find one you like.
What is the difference between a Beginner Guitar and a Full Size Guitar?
We have two types of guitars:
- Beginner Guitar (Half Size): This smaller guitar is great for kids aged 7 to about 10 years old.
- Full Size Guitar: This guitar is for adults. If your child is 11 or older, they can choose a full size
or a ¾ size guitar, which is between the two sizes. Keep in mind they might want a full size
guitar soon!
I can’t tune the guitar, what should I do?
It’s important to tune the guitar so it sounds right. Here’s how you can help:
- Learn to Tune: Parents should learn how to tune the guitar, especially before practice and
lessons. - Watch Videos: Your teacher will show you how to tune, but you can also watch these
videos: - Use a Tuner App: You can download a free guitar tuner on your phone:
What are the different violins available?
We have different sizes of violins for kids:
- Half Size Violin: This is good for children aged 7 to 12 years.
- ¾ Size Violin: This size is for kids who are 11 and older.
- Full Size Violin: This is a violin you might keep forever. They come in many styles, so pick one
that you like!
